There are so many options! You could make lemonade, lemon bars, lemon meringue pie… the list goes on and on. What matters is that you’re envisioning creative ways to use an ingredient that’s hard to stomach on its own. By understanding the natural properties of a lemon–its sourness, acidity, juiciness, and citric aroma–you can imagine new ways to use it with unlimited potential!
This skill doesn’t just apply to fruits, it also applies to this year’s camp theme: leadership! We believe being a leader means being able to understand a situation to turn problems into solutions and guide a group towards a common goal. The more a leader understands themselves and those around them, the better they can handle life’s circumstances to turn something sour into something delicious!
